Moharram Program

Moharram, the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar, holds profound significance for the Muslim community worldwide. It marks the tragic events of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, at the Battle of Karbala in 61 AH.

Moharram is a month of mourning and reflection, observed with solemnity and grief, especially by the Shia Muslim community. Commemorative rituals such as processions, Majlis (gatherings) take place to honor the sacrifice of Imam Hussein and his companions.

The message of Moharram transcends religious boundaries, emphasizing principles of justice, resistance against oppression, and unwavering devotion to one’s principles. This month serves as a time for spiritual introspection, fostering unity, and reinforcing the values of compassion and solidarity within the Muslim community.

Starting from the first day of Moharram, our program starts in the evening and ends at 11:00 PM. Please contact us if you have any inquiries.
